INVESTIGATION THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CAREER DEVOTED AND ENTREPRENEURIAL BEHAVIOR IN SPORTS VOLUNTEERS

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigation the relationship between entrepreneurial behaviors and career devoted of sports volunteers and volunteer candidates. Data that are the basis of research with purpose-oriented sampling method; It was obtained with the “Entrepreneurial Behavior Scale” adapted into Turkish by Akkoç et al., (2019) and the “Career Dedication Scale” adapted into Turkish by Korkmaz et al., (2020). The research group consists of 388 people who participated in the online conference on "Entrepreneurship in Sports" held within the Youth and Sports Volunteers Association. The business idea and the institution they follow in order to implement this idea were investigated according to whether it is an institution or not. "T Test" and "Anova Test" were applied to investigates according to the demographic structures of the participants. Relationships between variables were tested with "Correlation Analysis".No significant difference was found in the entrepreneurial behavior and career devoted of sports volunteers and sports volunteer candidates regarding gender, marital status, educational status and sports volunteering experiences. It has been concluded that regular exercise, which is the other research factors, has a significant relationship with career commitment and has a positive effect, while doing sports as a professional shows a significant difference in the averages of both scales, and doing sports as a professional affects entrepreneurial behavior and career commitment positively. It was concluded that following the entrepreneurial behavior positively affects the entrepreneurial behavior. A moderate relationship was obtained between entrepreneurial behavior and career devoted.
